Childrens Workforce Development Council is hitting the road this winter. It is taking Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) /eyps>

on tour with a series of live events across the country, which will bring to life the benefits of the Status to prospective Early Years Professionals.

Children's ball pools will be stationed in some of the country's largest shopping centres, bringing a colourful taste of EYPS to passers-by.

Staffed by CWDC representatives, local Training Providers and Early Years Professionals, visitors will have an opportunity to find out more about EYPS, its benefits and how to work towards the Status.

Although aimed primarily at existing early years workers and settings managers, the events are also an important opportunity to tell parents about the Status face-to-face. They will give a chance to talk about what the Status means and the benefits it will deliver to their children - as well as giving an opportunity to discuss the potential of working as Early Years Professionals themselves.

The roadshow will be visiting :

Saturday 13 December

Lakeside Shopping Centre, Thurrock

And at each location, a competition will be held for a chance to win the ball pool for a local early years setting, ensuring that the ball pool has lasting benefits.
